pokemon nuzlocke ch 1 the beginning

I rubbed my eyes tiredly. “ oh boy another night staying up late.”  As I turned and saw that I left my tv on something about a red gyarados all I know is I didn’t care. As I got up stretching my arms as my long brown tail swayed at how good it felt. “kitsu come down for breakfast!!”  that would be mom right on schedule. After a  few seconds I took for me to find my barrette I jogged down greeting my mom with a yawn slash good morning.  “goodness it took you long enough for you to get up. “ I smiled and grabbed a burnt piece of toast and munched. “oh by the way uour friend berry said he wanted to speek to you. He said it was important.”  “berry huh? I bet its something stupid.” Berry was my best friend since we were kids he was always dragging me around to something crazy.
ok mom ill be back ill seeya later.” As I made my way out the door my mom said “be sure you don’t go into any tall grass that’s where pokemon are and u don’t have one to defend yourself yet so be careful. “ “yes mom don’t worry I know.” Yes I knew that rule I still don’t have a pokemon to call my own. I hope its soon. I shrugged off my thoughts and turned to walk into berry’s house as a blond blur suddenly crashed into me. “oww jeez watch out.” I yelled as I looked up and standing before me with his golden blond hair an orange and white stripped t shirt and green scarf. “ hay kitsu you got to watch were your going hay come on lets head to the lake maybe we can find a rare pokemon like the red gyarados!!” Before I could say a word in edge wise I was being dragged towards lake verity near our small town of twinleaf. “ you don’t have to be so pushy” I said as we made our way out of the clearing to the lake.  Suddenly berry stopped and looked a head as an elderly man approached them with a  young girl behind him. “will u excuse us.” Said the old man as he walked past them the young girl bowing at them as she rushed to catch up.  “huh that was weird. Hay look they left something behind.” Berry said as she walked towards the tall grass. Remembering my moms words I grabbed his arm holding him back. “umm maybe we should we don’t have any pokemon to defend us.” “ aw don’t worry kitsu im sure we will be out of the tall grass before any pokemon can attack us.” Berry then dragged me along as we walked into the grass and saw a small brown brief case. “ huh I wonder what that is.” Said berry as he reached to grab it as loud flapping suddenly echoed around the quite lake. “look out!!” I yelled as I tackled berry to the ground as a pair of flying pokemon called starly dive bombed the two of them. “we gotta do something!!” yelled berry as he opened the briefcase and spotted three pokeballs. “hay there might be pokemon in these balls lets use them to fight those starly.” I bit my lip worried about using someone else’s is pokemon maybe it was because I never   battled but I felt my hand reach towards the ball on the far left. I don’t know what it was but it felt like the right choice as I threw the ball as a flash of light burst from the ball causing me to shield my eyes. I blinked a few times and standing in front of me was a little blue bird no more thatn a few feet tall. It looked kind of like a penguin now that im getting a better look at it. “umm hi uhhh.” “are you the one that released me from my imprisonment?”  “I blinked as the small pokemon looked back at me with a gleam in its eye. That was the look of a fighter. “yes I did umm I need your help to battle those starly!!” the little bird turned and saw the starly dive in for an attack. “stand back I got this. “ said the blue pokemon as it leaped into the air and smacked the starly midair in the beak with its flipper as the starly yelped in surprise as it flew off. All I could do was look in awe as I watched the battle before my eyes. “hay you did it so did I with my pokemon.” I looked over ans saw berry standing next to a small green turtle with a leaf sticking out of its head. “yea I guess we did it hehe that was a close one.” I turned and saw the little bird walk over with a grin on his beak. “ not bad for my first battle if I say so myself.” “yea your pretty tough whats your name. “ I asked as I knelt down. “ im piplup. Nice to meet you and you are?” I smiled and said . “piplup my name is kitsu I think we are gonna be good friends.” “oh my goodness!!!” my ears twitched at the sudden yell as berry and I turned and saw the very same girl that we had seen leave the lake. “oh nonono you used those Pokémon?! The professor is gonna be upset  quickly quickly come with me!!” for the second time that day I was dragged forcefully against my will as piplup and what berry called a turtwig rushed to keep up. Before I knew it I was standing before the same old man we had seen. This must have been the professor that girl was talking about.  The man introduced himself as professor rowan a famous Pokémon researcher. “well it seems like you bonded with those pokemon. “ the professor inspected berry and I along with piplup and turtwig. after a moment of silence the professor smiled and said “ I would like you two to come to my lab it’s a little ways up the road I look forward to seeing you.” With that the professor turned and walked off.  “the names dawn by the way. We never did introduce ourselves.” I turned and looked at the girl before me as she stood in her pink skirt and blue vest with a white beanie hat on top of her head with long blue hair falling past her shoulders. “ im kitsu and that’s berry I hope we didn’t get you in trouble.”  “nono don’t worry hehe well I do hope you can stop by the lab ill seeya.”
 I watched her leave and turned to ask berry what we should do but he was already on his way home. With a sigh I headed home as well and explained my situation to mom. “aww your Pokémon is so cute heheh well I think it would be wise of you to go see the professor don’t keep him waiting.” I nodded and looked down at piplup. “you ready?”  Piplup looked up and crossed his flippers nodding eagerly]. “you bet I am lets get going
